Engine :

Block: Fully blueprinted, World Products Merlin III.  4.610" bore.  Billet steel, "splayed" 4-bolt main bearing caps.

Crankshaft:  Callies Magnum 4340 steel, internally balanced.  4.375" inch stroke.  Final cubic inch displacement: 584.

Connecting Rods:  Manley 4340 steel H-Beam, 6.535” long with ARP 2000 rod bolts.

Bearings:  Clevite 77 Tri-Armor and CV Products 55mm roller cam bearings.

Pistons:  Wiseco, with a 15.82 to 1 final compression ratio.  Total Seal, Max-Seal, Gapless Top piston rings, low tension oil rings.

Cam: Comp Cams 55 mm, mechanical roller .846” Intake / .800” lift Exhaust and 320° / 342° duration respectfully.

Cylinder Heads:  Brodix BB2 Plus.  Ported by Steve Schmidt Racing Engines, Indianapolis, IN.  Port volume increased from 312cc to 350cc w/totally redesigned, 106cc combustion chambers.  Manley titanium valves; 2.25” Intake and 1.88” exhaust.  Manley polished, Nex-Tech 1.625” roller valve springs and titanium 10° retainers & Manley Bead-Loc titanium locks.

Valve Train:  Isky Red Zone, EX-Roll Max, .903" roller lifters.  Jesel, 1.7 Ratio, Pro-Series Shaft Rockers.  Manton, Series 5, 7/16" x .168 wall pushrods.

Timing Set:  Jesel belt drive

Balancer:  ATI Super Damper

Oiling System: Moroso.  "Full-kickout” 7 quart, rear (wet) sump oil pan, billet oil pump and, three quart Accumulator.

Oiling Retention Device: DRE Enterprises, Kevlar.

Cooling System:  CSR Billet, electric water pump and Spitzer aluminum radiator

Gaskets:  Cometic MLS head gaskets.  All others Fel-Pro.

Intake Manifold:  Pro-Filer "Sniper Jr." with Dominator flange

Crankcase Evacuation:  Moroso "Enhanced" 4-vane Vacuum Pump

Induction:  Ron’s Terminator mechanical fuel injection,  Ron’s Primer-Plus gasoline engine priming system

Fuel System:  Ron’s belt driven fuel pump, Jaz Products 4-gallon fuel cell, Russell Stainless Steel Braided plumbing throughout the vehicle

Fuel:  VP Race Fuel, M5 Methanol.

Power Adder: Nitrous Express, Gemini Twin Pro Power Alcohol, 100HP to 500HP plate nitrous system.

Ignition:  MSD, Digital 7 Programable w/HVC II coil, MSD Crank Trigger, MSD billet crank trigger distributor, Moroso Ultra 40 spark plug wires, NGK spark plugs.

Electrical: East Coast Auto Electric alternator and starter, Turbo Start 16 volt AGM Racing Battery

Exhaust:  Fabshop 2 1/4" primaries with a 4" merged collector.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chassis and Driveline:

Chassis:  1996 chrome-moly tubular chassis built by Spitzer Race Cars, Indianapolis, IN.  Wing by S&W Race Cars, Spring City, PA.

Rear Suspension:  None.  Solid mount rear axle.

Rear End:  Mark Williams modular 9” Ford.  4.33 rear axle ratio.

Front Suspension:  None.  Solid a-arm.

Flexplate:  ATI.

Torque Converter:  Transmission Specialties 9" spragless, 6100 RPM stall speed.

Transmission:  GM Powerglide prepared by Sepanek Racing Transmissions, Transbrake, Quarter-Pro solenoid shifter, B&M "super cooler" transmission fluid cooler, and ATI case.

Wheels: Weld Racing, Alumistar Wheels  16”x16” rear, and 17”x 3" Weld Racing Billet Alumistar, Spindle Mount front.

Tires:  Goodyear 2532 17.0” x 33.5” x 16” rear racing slicks, M/T ET Fronts, 2.5” x 22” x 17” up front

Brakes:  Aerospace billet rear wheel disc brakes w/ Strange "gold" pads.
